Dinner at Bukhara

Before we began our three-day road trip, Jim and G. Ray decided we should have a great meal in New Delhi. Most critic seem to agree that Burhara at the Sheraton Hotel is the best place to eat in New Delhi. Bill Clinton dined there several times, and we all know how much he likes food.

Burhara exceeded expectations. We started with a India wine a Sauvignon Blanc from Sula Vineyards. None of us had heard about Indian wine. I am not a big fan of Sauvignon Blancs usually they are too sweet for my taste. But this wine was very delicate not too sweet and had hardly any acidity. It nicely complemented our somewhat spicy chicken tika, braised leg of lamb, and cauliflower dishes. The garlic naan was wonderful.
